For IT and managed service providers

Managed-service contracts, not one-off repairs.

A repair ticket pays once. An office on a monthly plan pays every month for years. Reach the owners and office managers fed up with their current provider, and show them you actually answer.

What do you want your marketing to do for you?

Pick the one that matters most right now. We start there.

What your buyers search

What a business owner searches when IT breaks.

Most IT buyers are not technical. They search for the problem or the kind of help, usually right after something went wrong. The firms that rank for those moments get the contract conversations.

  • managed IT services near me
  • IT support for small business
  • computer repair near me
  • network installation
  • data recovery
  • cybersecurity for small business
  • outsourced IT
  • cloud migration consultant

The work worth chasing

  • Managed-service contracts

Monthly agreements that pay for years. The goal of everything else.

  • Network and server projects

Office buildouts, upgrades and moves, often the start of a contract.

  • Security and backup

The service owners worry about most after a scare, and the easiest to explain in plain words.

  • Repairs that open the door

Walk-in and on-site fixes, where a good experience turns a one-time customer into a contract.

What goes wrong

Why IT firms stay stuck on repair work.

The skills for managed services are usually there. The marketing is still aimed at the one-off.

  • Repair traffic, contract ambitions.

A site that ranks for “computer repair” brings in laptops, not offices. Contract buyers search for different words and read different pages.

  • Buyers switch when they’re angry.

An office changes providers after an outage, a slow response or a security scare, not on your schedule. You have to be findable the week it happens.

  • Every provider says the same thing.

“Proactive. Peace of mind. 24/7.” When every site reads the same, the buyer picks on price. Plain specifics win: who answers, how fast, what is included.

  • Local and national need different plans.

A shop serving a lake-area radius and a consultancy selling nationwide need opposite search strategies. One generic plan serves neither.

How the contract gets decided

From “the server is down” to a signed agreement.

IT buying is triggered, then careful. Each step needs something specific from your site.

  1. The trigger

    Something went wrong

An outage, a breach scare or a provider who stopped answering. The owner searches for help that day.

  2. The shortlist

    Two or three providers

They compare sites for plain answers: response times, what is included, who they will talk to.

  3. The assessment

    A look at their setup

A walk-through or network review. A clear way to book it on the site gets you there first.

  4. The renewal

    Contract terms come around

Existing contracts renew on a date. Staying visible means you are the call when a competitor’s term runs out.

Hi, my name is Dan Erickson. I'm a partner at AMD Technology, having worked here for 12 years, have not seen the value of a website in those 12 years, and Frontend Horizon has brought us multiple leads that have been qualified, turned into sales, just through organic searches of people coming to our website saying, hey, tell me more, and then buying products from us. So for me, it's a huge win, and I can't thank them enough for that.

And finally, my biggest appreciation for them ultimately comes down to who they are as people. I love working with them. They're great.

If we have issues, in many cases, any technology issues, they've been able to drop what they're doing to help us out because we were in a pinch or an emergency. So can't think of them high enough. They've been fantastic.

How you pay

How an IT plan is built.

Every plan is built from the same three parts. What changes by trade is what counts as a lead and how long a job takes to close.

What counts as a lead

A request from a business inside your service area, or your national target market, asking about ongoing support or a project, with a company name and a rough size.

What does not

Spam, a vendor pitch, or, if you choose, a one-time home-PC fix. Whether repair requests count is your call.

  • A monthly retainer

Covers the site, the service pages, SEO, research and the Friday read.

  • A price per qualified lead

A set price for each business request that meets the definition above.

  • A share of each closed job

A share of each contract or project that signs from those leads. Recurring contracts are the close worth waiting for.

What counts as a lead is agreed before work starts. Prices depend on your market, so we quote them on a call. No setup fee.

Questions owners ask

About marketing for IT firms.

We do repairs and managed services. Which should the site lead with?
Usually the one you want more of, with the other a click away. Repairs bring people in the door; the site should make the step from a fixed laptop to a monthly plan obvious.
Can you help us win clients outside our town?
Yes, with a different plan. A local radius is won in the map pack and on town pages. National work is won on topics and expertise pages. AMD Technology, a managed IT firm in Chicago, serves clients nationwide.
What does keyword research for an IT firm look like?
Who is actually searching for what in your market, and what it would cost to reach them. For AMD Technology we ran a demographics-grounded Google Ads keyword analysis for Chicago before planning spend.
Our buyers aren’t technical. How technical should the site be?
Plain enough for an office manager, specific enough to prove you know the work. Say who answers, how fast, and what is included, then put the technical detail on the service pages.
Do you run LinkedIn ads?
Yes. Pay Per Click Advertising covers Google, Meta and LinkedIn, tracked to contract conversations.
How do you charge when our contracts are monthly?
A monthly retainer, a set price per qualified business request, and a share of each contract that signs from those leads. The mix is in writing before work starts, and prices are quoted on a call.
