For commercial trades and builders

Facility buyers who arrive with a scope.

A plant manager replacing cold-storage doors doesn’t want a brochure. They want proof you have done their kind of facility. Answer that on the site, collect the specs before the call, and your estimator starts on a real job.

What do you want your marketing to do for you?

Pick the one that matters most right now. We start there.

What your buyers search

What facility and business buyers search.

Commercial buyers search for the exact product, the facility type or the problem. The volume is small and the value is high, so a handful of specific pages beats a general one.

  • commercial door installation
  • cold storage door repair
  • loading dock door contractor
  • warehouse door replacement
  • commercial carpentry contractor
  • tenant improvement contractor
  • commercial door hardware
  • shed kits

The work worth chasing

  • Facility repairs and replacements

Doors, hardware and fixtures that stop a line or a loading dock when they fail.

  • Planned projects

Budgeted work quoted months ahead, often across several sites.

  • Service agreements

Recurring maintenance that turns one job into a relationship.

  • Dealer and retail demand

For manufacturers: buyers who find the brand online and buy through retail partners.

What goes wrong

Why commercial buyers pass you by.

B2B buyers don’t impulse-buy. They shortlist quietly, and most of the shortlisting happens on your website before you know they exist.

  • Buyers vet you before they call.

Facility and procurement teams shortlist from websites. If yours doesn’t show facilities like theirs, you are cut before the first conversation.

  • Requests arrive without a scope.

“Need a quote on some doors” starts a week of back-and-forth. The competitor whose site asked for facility type, door type and count sends a number first.

  • Budgets decide the timing.

Planned work gets approved on a budget cycle, and emergencies happen whenever. A site that only handles one of the two misses half the work.

  • Retail listings own your product search.

For a manufacturer, the big-box listing can outrank your own brand. Best Barns’ brand awareness was slipping against those listings before the rebuild.

How the job gets bought

Two ways a commercial job arrives.

The same buyer can call in a panic on Tuesday and send a planned-project request next quarter. The site has to handle both.

  1. Today

    Something broke

A dock door is down or a cooler won’t seal. The buyer wants a phone number, a service area and a time. Speed wins.

  2. Next budget

    Planned replacement

Quotes are gathered months ahead. Facility-type pages, spec sheets and past projects get you on the list.

  3. Year-end

    Use-it-or-lose-it spend

Budgets left at the end of a fiscal year turn into fast projects for vendors who are already known.

  4. After the job

    Service agreement

A good install becomes recurring maintenance. Follow-up and a clear service page make the ask easy.

What we built

Commercial door and hardware specialist for cold-storage and industrial facilities. We built a calculator-driven hero that classifies the facility type and pre-builds the project scope before the first call, so quotes start qualified instead of cold.

The engagement is underway and the measurement window is open. Numbers publish here once they verify.

The problem

No website and a thin online presence. Shoppers were confused about the product range, and brand awareness was slipping against the big-box listings.

What we did

Built an information-rich, DIY-focused site with schema markup for rich results, strategic calls to action, and a backlink program, optimized for AI search in ChatGPT and Google AI Overview.

Working with Frontend Horizon has been truly refreshing. Respectful, open-minded, professional, and extremely knowledgeable.

How you pay

How a commercial plan is built.

Every plan is built from the same three parts. What changes by trade is what counts as a lead and how long a job takes to close.

What counts as a lead

A request from a facility, a general contractor or a business buyer with a site location and a scope: facility type, product, quantity and timeline.

What does not

A residential one-off you don’t take, a vendor pitch, or a job seeker using the contact form.

  • A monthly retainer

Covers the site, the scope builder, SEO, content and the Friday read, through the long gaps between a first visit and a purchase order.

  • A price per qualified lead

A set price for each request that meets the definition above. B2B volume is small, so each one is priced to match its value.

  • A share of each closed job

A share of each contract or order that closes from those leads, including planned projects that sign months later.

What counts as a lead is agreed before work starts. Prices depend on your market, so we quote them on a call. No setup fee.

Questions owners ask

About marketing for commercial trades.

Our buyers are procurement teams. Does search reach them?
Yes. The person building the shortlist is usually searching for the product or the facility problem, then reading vendor sites. Specific pages and proof of similar facilities are what get you on the list.
Can the site pre-qualify a scope before the call?
Yes. CAB Carpentry’s site classifies the facility type and pre-builds the scope before the first call, so quotes start qualified instead of cold.
We sell through dealers and retailers. Can you still help?
Yes. Best Barns sells through big-box retail partners. Their site sent 3,000+ clicks to retail buy pages in three months, alongside +1,233% organic clicks.
Do you run LinkedIn ads?
Yes. Pay Per Click Advertising covers Google, Meta and LinkedIn, tracked to quote requests and closed work, not just clicks.
How do you handle emergency calls versus planned projects?
Separately. Emergencies get a phone-first path and after-hours answering. Planned projects get the scope builder and spec pages. The pipeline labels each request so the right person picks it up.
How do you charge on a long B2B sales cycle?
The retainer covers the ongoing work, each qualified request has a set price, and the per-close share pays when a contract or order closes, even months later. Prices are quoted on a call.
