For custom home builders and remodelers

Whole-home inquiries, not shower repairs.

Your site decides which jobs call you. BHR Construction’s old site pulled minor-repair leads; after the rebuild, the owner gets inquiries for million-dollar custom homes. Start from the work you want and build backwards.

What do you want your marketing to do for you?

Pick the one that matters most right now. We start there.

What your buyers search

What a serious project buyer searches.

Buyers with a lot, a budget and a year of planning ahead search for the project and the place, then read portfolios for weeks. Your site has to win the search and hold up to the reading.

  • general contractor near me
  • home addition contractor
  • ADU builder

  • luxury home builder

The projects worth chasing

  • Custom homes

The seven-figure build. One signed contract can carry a year.

  • Additions and ADUs

Owners adding space instead of moving, who want a builder that handles permits and design.

  • Whole-home remodels

Gut-and-rebuild jobs, not a single bathroom. Scope and budget up front.

  • Outdoor living and decks

A strong add-on line, and often the first job before the bigger one.

What goes wrong

Why good builders get the wrong calls.

Most builders don’t have a lead-volume problem. They have a lead-mix problem, and the site is usually the cause.

  • Google has you filed under the wrong job.

If the site talks about “repairs” and “handyman services,” that is what Google sends. BHR Construction’s original site did exactly this: minor-repair leads instead of custom builds.

  • The site can’t carry the price tag.

A buyer about to spend seven figures judges you on photos, finish and detail. A template with stock images tells them you build like a template too.

  • The sales cycle outlasts your follow-up.

Custom-home buyers often spend months on the lot, the financing and the design before they sign. If nobody follows up after the first form, the builder who did gets the job.

  • Referrals carry you, until they don’t.

Word of mouth fills the book in good years. Between projects there is nothing behind it, and a quiet quarter shows up six months later as a gap in the schedule.

How the job gets decided

From first search to signed contract.

A custom build is decided in stages over months. Each stage needs something different from your site.

  1. Months before

    Lot, budget and financing

The buyer is reading cost guides and “how long does it take” answers. Plain answers on your site put your name in front of them early.

  2. Shortlist

    Portfolio reading

They compare two or three builders’ finished homes. Project pages with real photos, locations and scope are what they read.

  3. First meeting

    The inquiry

A form that asks project type, lot status, timeline and budget range means your first call starts on the right project.

  4. Design to contract

    Staying in touch

Weeks of design and pricing. Consistent follow-up and a visible, active brand keep you the builder they picked.

The problem

The original site pulled the wrong work , minor-repair leads instead of custom builds , and the brand didn't match the luxury positioning they wanted to own.

What we did

Full redesign and visual rebrand, SEO starting on low-competition keywords, a content cadence, backlink building, and social marketing, all pointed at million-dollar custom-build inquiries , then a relaunch on FH's own stack that carries the same program forward with deeper SEO.

Before coming to Frontend Horizon, my website was generating the wrong types of leads. Now I get leads for building million dollar custom homes.

How you pay

How a builder’s plan is built.

Every plan is built from the same three parts. What changes by trade is what counts as a lead and how long a job takes to close.

What counts as a lead

A project inquiry for the work you build: a custom home, an addition or a whole-home remodel, inside your service area, with a timeline.

What does not

A request to fix a leaky shower, a handyman job, or a vendor pitch.

  • A monthly retainer

Covers the site, the portfolio pages, SEO, content and the Friday read. It carries the long months between an inquiry and a contract.

  • A price per qualified lead

A set price for each project inquiry that meets the definition above. Fewer, bigger leads is the goal, so the price reflects the project size you want.

  • A share of each closed job

A share of each contract that signs from those leads. On a long sales cycle this part pays out later, which is why the retainer carries more of the plan.

What counts as a lead is agreed before work starts. Prices depend on your market, so we quote them on a call. No setup fee.

Questions owners ask

About marketing for builders and remodelers.

Can you stop the small-job inquiries?
Mostly, yes. You stop ranking for small-job searches by not writing pages for them, block them in ads, and ask qualifying questions on the form. BHR Construction went from minor-repair leads to million-dollar custom-build inquiries this way.
How long does SEO take for a builder?
Local rankings usually start moving in 60 to 90 days. BHR Construction’s +327% organic clicks was measured over 12 months. Project searches are lower volume and higher value, so a few rankings matter a lot.
Do you need our project photos?
Yes. Your finished homes are the strongest thing on the site. If the photos are thin, we will tell you which projects are worth shooting properly before launch.
Is this only for luxury builders?
No. It is for any builder or remodeler who wants a specific kind of project. The approach is the same: pick the job, write the pages for it, and filter out the rest.
How do you charge when a job takes a year to sign?
The retainer carries the ongoing work, the per-lead price covers each qualified inquiry, and the per-close share pays when a contract signs, even if that is months later. The mix is in writing before work starts.
Can you work with the site we already have?
Sometimes. We look at it first and tell you whether it can be fixed or needs a rebuild. BHR’s first site with us was a full redesign and rebrand, because the old one pulled the wrong work.
